Karl Henkel The Detroit News Comments Multinational asset valuation company Maynards Industries says it has purchased a building previously owned by Detroit-based Tower Defense and Aerospace. Mario Mazzuca, vice president for the U.S. division at Maynards, said in a telephone interview Wednesday that the company, along with two other firms, have finalized a purchase agreement for the facility, on Hoover Avenue just south of Eight Mile Road in Detroit. Mazzuca did not disclose terms of the deal. Tower Defense and Aerospace in April said it planned to close the facility and lay off approximately 190 employees.
